To put this in perspective, as a man, I started lifting 3x a week at age 28. In less than a year, I was hitting weights in my bench, deadlift, and squats that would take a female weightlifter an entire career of rigorous, Olympic-level training to even dream about, if they could even attain them. The biological baselines for male and female strength are so ridiculously disparate, and pretending otherwise doesn’t help anyone.
Trans people have every right to identify how they like, but we can’t ignore the biology when it comes to strength sports. Simply having gone through male puberty or having a biologically male musculoskeletal system puts you in a league separate from biological females, and it’s not fair to either party to have those two groups compete.
