Skipper Riyad ruled out of today’s T20I due to injury

Bangladesh T20I skipper Mahmudullah Riyad has been ruled out of the third and final T20I against New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland due to a strained left thigh, informed the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today. 

Mahmudullah sustained the injury during the second T20I in Napier. In absence of Mahmudullah, opener Liton Das will be captaining Bangladesh for today’s game.

Bangladesh are already missing ODI skipper Tamim Iqbal, who skipped the T20I series due to personal reasons, Hasan Mahmud, who has been sent back to the country due to stiff back suffered during the first ODI on March 20, and Mushfiqur Rahim, who missed the first two T20Is due to multiple injuries to his left shoulder and finger which he sustained during the third ODI.
