Traffic on various important and main roads of the capital will be controlled from 10:00am tomorrow and will continue for the next day, with some roads also set to be temporarily closed on March 26 and 27.

Citing security grounds, Monibur Rahman, additional commissioner (traffic) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, told The Daily Star that they will control the traffic from 10:00am for the next day.

“It will not be possible to specify the movement time of VVIPs previously and there are also security issues related to it,” he added.

Indian President Narendra Modi is set to arrive tomorrow to join the twin celebrations of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence.
