Tom Brady is getting pretty fiesty in his advanced age.
Ahead of the next installment of “The Match” hitting the course on July 6, pro golfers Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau were joined by NFL QBs Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers to preview the event.
Rodgers, who is paired with DeChambeau for the golf event, caught a little bit of heat from Brady, once again twisting the knife from this year’s NFC championship game.
Oh Yes I’m reading all the way into this.
Brady fired shots at Aaron and even some NFL coaches caught a stray 😂😂😂

Brady: I do think you have a partner that would probably would like to go for it a little more often than he has in the past. So, Bryson, I’m glad you’re encouraging him to kind of go for it when it’s on the line. So rather than just, you know, knock it in the fairway or something like that, just play it for the next shot.
DeChambeau: I’ll never push anyone to do anything, so he can choose whatever he wants to do.
Rodgers: I, well, I usually don’t get the option.
DeChambeau: That’s what I mean. You’ll finally have the option, Aaron.
The cheeky exchange, of course, is referring to Matt LaFleur and the Packers deciding against going for the game-tying score in the 2020 NFC championship game with 2:05 to play. The Packers decided instead to kick a short field goal to bring the game within 31-26, rather than giving Rodgers another shot at the end zone from the eight-yard-line.
The Packers were downed by Brady and the Bucs, who would go on to win the Super Bowl, and the decision not to go for it was met with criticism from fans, NFL players and even “Jeopardy!” contestants since then.
If this conversation has proven anything, then you should fully expect Rodgers to aim for the pin on a Par 5 when “The Match 2” rolls around.
