Road accident kills newlywed | The Daily Star

A newly-married woman was killed in a collision between a motorbike and a truck in Panchagarh’s Boda upazila on Monday night.

Family sources said Chandana (20) and her husband Suman got married a couple of months ago. They were on a motorbike when a truck hit them, leaving Chandana dead on the spot and Sumon injured.

Meanwhile, a 15km tailback was created on Bangabandhu Bridge east link road from Monday night to yesterday morning after an accident on the bridge.

A collision between two pickup vans and a truck on the bridge left several people injured, said Shafiqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bangabandhu Bridge East Police Station.
